Kristine Vismane from Latvia in residence in Cyprus

Choreographer and dancer Kristine Vismane from Latvia is currently in residence in Limassol, Cyprus. Between July 1-29, she will work on the project “The MOveMOMENT”,  a research on  the availability to perceive things like children. Kristine’s goal is to learn from the children a quality of the body language and to see what kind of choreography can come out in the end from this experience. Her choreography is not about illustration of or acting  children, but about actually impersonate   children together with the possibility to see things through their eyes and to dance with their feelings and imagination.

The residency also includes a workshop with children from the local community and an open presentation of the results of this working period.

The goal of the residency is to develop a contemporary dance solo performance based on dance movements of the children. The residency in Limassol is hosted by Dance House Lemesos.
