London – Mapping the E-Motional City

body>data>space is producing and hosting ‘London – Mapping the E-Motional City’ Artistic Research with Watermans Art Centre from 14 to 26th January 2013, with an inter-disciplinary group of 5 artists exploring, exploring the megatropolis and its underlying bodies and emotions.

body>data>space will be hosting the E-Motional Artistic Research Group 2: Gemma Riggs (UK), Mircea Ghinea (Romania), Laura Murphy (Ireland), Kaspars Lielgalvis (Latvia) and Alexis Vassiliou (Cyprus).

As part of ‘London- Mapping the E-Motional City’ body>data>space invites artists and experts from fields of performance, architecture, design and technology to present during a ‘Vision Evening’. Alex Haw (atmos), Stanza and Active Ingredient will be among the artists sharing their work on mapping emotions and body data into the city.

At the end of the residency there will be a ‘Process Sharing’ where we will share the findings of the research in an informal way for a special invited group including the E-Motional partners from Ireland, Cyprus, Latvia, Romania of the E-Motional project.

‘London – Mapping the E-Motional City’ Artistic Research is produced and directed by body>data>space with Watermans Art Centre,  supported using public funding by Arts Council England. In association with the Romanian Cultural Institute, with the support of the Cyprus High Commission, the Embassy of Ireland and the Embassy of Latvia.

The Romanian participants to the Artistic Research are supported through a grant from the European Cultural Foundation in Amsterdam.
