Rounding up the first Artistic Research residency in Dublin

“We – Mădălina Dan (Romania), Fearghus Ó Conchúir (Ireland), Olga Zitluhina (Latvia), Luke Pell (UK) and Arianna Marcoulides (Cyprus) have spent the past few weeks beginning – what will be ongoing – research as part of the E-Motional Bodies & Cities Artistic Research Project, here in Dublin, with support and creative input from artists Mary Wycherley and Frances Byrnes.

We’ve got to know each other, the city and some of you a little better and we have begun to clarify what our artistic research might be in relationship to co-authorship, the human body, urban and geopolitical contexts and new technologies. This Tuesday 12 June, we would like to invite you to join us at Dance House (Foley Street) at 4pm, where we have been working. For an exchange: of thought, feeling and practice.

On your way to Dance House you might notice: Seagulls, Vote yes, Holding hands, Cats, and dogs Shit, Green, and grey.
We look forward to sharing with you…”

This is how the artists’ personal invite sounds for the first sharing event of the E-Motional Artistic Research, at the end of the first working period organised by Dance Ireland and hosted at the Dance House in Dublin.

This artistic team will reunite in November in Limassol Cyprus. Until then you may continue to follow them on the artists’  blog.
