The deployment uses Juniper Networks PTX Series Routers, specifically the PTX10002-36QDD, combined with JCO800 coherent pluggable optics, enabling ultra-high-capacity Ethernet services over existing fiber networks .
The deployment leverages Juniper's Converged Optical Routing Architecture (CORA), which integrates IP over DWDM (IPoDWDM). This approach allows IP traffic to be sent directly over DWDM networks using coherent pluggable optics, eliminating the need for multiple intermediary network elements and simplifying network design . The 800ZR+ coherent transceivers convert IP traffic into DWDM-ready wavelengths, supporting long-reach, high-capacity transport with 0dBm output power, which reduces signal loss over extended distances . The PTX10002-36QDD router is cloud-optimized and built on Juniper's Express 5 ASIC, supporting dense 100GbE, 400GbE, and 800GbE connections. It accommodates both gray and coherent optics in the same port form factor (QSFP-DD), providing flexibility to scale based on traffic demands while optimizing space and energy efficiency .
