Construction Features

  • Fiber Units: Multiple 250µm bare optical fibers are housed in loose tubes made of high modulus material, filled with a waterproof compound to prevent moisture ingress .
  • Central Strength Member: A central filler rope or non-metallic reinforcing element provides structural support and maintains the cable's compact shape .
  • Outer Sheath: High-density polyethylene (HDPE) or polyethylene (PE) sheaths protect the cable from environmental factors, UV exposure, and mechanical damage .
  • Fiber Color Coding: Fibers are color-coded (blue, orange, green, brown, slate, natural, red, black, yellow, violet, pink, aqua) for easy identification during installation .
